We had a fabulous field trip to Grouse Mountain. Thanks to Jaden and Grace's Dads, Mykayla, Keegan and Ian's Moms for volunteering and helping to make this day so memorable. It was a busy day starting with the Cultural Presentation at the Hiwus Feasthouse (we listened to a native legend and danced - we were wolves and Mrs. Grochowich's class were ravens!), then we went and saw the grizzly bears, we ate our lunch while watching the LumberJack show, then went to the Alpine Cabin for our Staying Alive presentation and our classification stations, we walked and saw the Birds in Motion (we were only 2 feet away from a turkey vulture and a beautiful bald eagle!) and then we went back down the mountain and hiked up to see 2 wolves! A packed full day! Could all students please go on the blog and write about their favourite parts of this field trip. Thanks.
Our volunteer tea presentation on Tuesday went very well, we hope all the parents that were able to attend enjoyed it. Thanks again for all your help, it is very appreciated :)
Please keep looking for classroom books, this week we did receive several piles!
Also thanks to everyone who sent in Father's Day photos, if you haven't had a chance please be sure to have them in by Wednesday.
Fun Day will hopefully be on Tuesday, June 12th. If any parents are available to help out at a station we are still short parents so please contact the office. Wednesday, June 13 is our alternate day if it is raining.
