May 11/12

This week we...

... started new math geometry stations and finished our place value ones.
... our scientists this week were:  Aedan, Callie, Grace, Edona and Savannah.   The experiments continue to be great from lava lamps, exploding lunch bags to making butter!
... busy making your Mother's Day surprises - hope you like them and have a great day!
... had an earthquake drill so now we all know what to do if there ever was an earthquake.

Thank you to Elika's mom for assembling the scholastic book orders each month.  We have appreciated your help this year.

Just a reminder that next Wednesday we will be having our primary poetry recital at 10:45 a.m. til approximately 11:30.  The Kindergarten and grade 1 classes will each be presenting one poem as a group (ours is the 'Environment Rap') while the grade 2's and 3's will be presenting poems individually and/or in pairs.  We ask that if you are able to attend that you remain for the entire presentation.

Ms Rowledge-Toscani will not be at school next week as she is in Toronto with her daughter for her National Volleyball Championship.  Ms Roberts will be teaching Monday - Thursday and Ms Nazareno  will be here and will be taking the class on the field trip to the Act.
