*For our environment unit we brainstormed what we know and what we wonder about our earth, we made a word bank and also started the covers for our Earth books. For the Poetry Recital which is on May 16th we will be presenting 'The Enviro Rap' which is in my Literacy Folder. Please help me practice this at home.
* Ms Roberts read The Lorax by Dr. Seuss and we did a follow up Story Map reviewing the characters, the setting and beginning, middle and end of this excellent book.
* We went to watch the Public Speaking Speeches on Wednesday, they were all very good and showed us what we will be doing in just 3 years! Our Poetry Recital is preparing us for the intermediate grades when we will we start writing and presenting speeches.
* We are finishing up Robert Munsch so please remember to go onto the blog and to write about his books. Everyday at snack we read over what everyone has written. Thanks to everyone who has already written on the blog and remember you can make more than one comment!
* Scientists this week were Giah, Kaiden, Elika, Viktor and Riley. We had some really cool experiments!
* We got new Just Right Reading Books and today we switched table groups.
* Centres today we had some great builders and someone was very creative on the SmartBoard.
* The May Calendar is up but the Scientists will be added next week,
unfortunately Ms Rowledge-Toscani forgot the list at school :(
